Help Rebuild the Gaushala & Heal Injured, Abandoned Cows
A Seva Campaign by Shiv Ananta Foundation

They Gave Us Milk, Now They Need Medicine
🌿 The walls are still standing. But inside, our cows are suffering in silence.
For years, the Gaushala run by Shiv Ananta Foundation has served as a last refuge for over 80+ cows — most of them old, abandoned, injured, or abused.
These are not just cows.
They are mothers who once gave milk, now cast aside.
They are gentle beings who once grazed freely, now limping in pain.
They are the soul of Bharat — silent, sacred, and suffering.
Today, our Gaushala needs your support — not to start, but to survive.
We urgently need to rebuild broken sections and cover the rising cost of life-saving medical care.

💔 “Please help us. They cannot cry out loud — but they are in pain.”
Every single day, our team witnesses pain that would shake anyone with a heart:
A cow with maggots in her open wound, lying helplessly for days before rescue
Another hit by a vehicle, unable to move, her leg bent unnaturally
A mother cow left in the scorching heat with her dead calf beside her
They arrive weak, often close to death — and our team rushes to do everything we can: dress wounds, give IV drips, soothe them with clean water and jaggery.
But now, we are running out of everything.

What’s Going Wrong
Our shelter roof is leaking; the floor floods during rain
There’s no dedicated medical area, just a tarpaulin corner
We often borrow medicines or delay treatments due to lack of funds
Vet visits are costly — and more frequent as many cows are elderly
Some cows are in critical condition, needing emergency care
The monsoon is coming.
We are not ready.
And the cows will suffer the most.
Laxmi’s Story: A Symbol of Why We’re Doing This
A few weeks ago, we found Laxmi, an elderly cow lying near a dumping ground. She had plastic in her stomach, wounds on her back, and was struggling to breathe.
We rushed her in. But we didn’t even have enough injectable pain relief left.
One volunteer cried, “How do we tell her we have love, but no medicine?”
We somehow managed to get help. She survived.
But every day, we’re seeing more Laxmis, and we’re not sure how long we can keep saying “yes” when the resources say “no.”

We will Keep sharing recent updates and progress of this campaign here. Stay tuned for the latest developments and success stories.
